Item description according to supplier: Darning is covering a hole by crisscrossing thicker threads across its surface. Our short darners needles have a longer eye which makes it easier to thread darning yarn (which is thicker) through. They are ideal for darning wool and cotton. Made in France in our factory, from nickel-plated steel, our needles go through 27 manufacturing stages, which guarantees an incomparable slide and an irreproachable tip. The needles are numbered according to their size, with the No. 3/0 being the longest and thickest and the No. 11 the shortest and most fine in the series.
